What do you want? What do you need? I am your humble servant. My objective is to ask those two questions of everyone on this planet. Then to gather the results and put forth a plan to satisfy the wants and needs of all people. Finally, to use all resouces at my disposal to execute the plan. This is my objective. The result is our shared purpose.
"The right word may be effective, but no word was ever as effective as a rightly timed pause." - Mark Twain
"Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them." - Albert Einstein
"Abstraction is one of the greatest visionary tools ever invented by human beings to imagine, decipher, and depict the world." - Jerry Saltz
"Wise to resolve, and patient to perform." - Homer
"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." - Calvin Coolidge
"Empathy is about finding echoes of another person in yourself." - Mohsin Hamid
Sometimes you have to tell it the way it is before anyone is willing to listen. Sometimes you have to use unsavory language in order to get attention. Sometimes the message matters. Sometimes it doesn't. This mattered. Click here to see the article and video.
People have problems. Solutions to these problems require resources in order to produce goods and services. Our generation has inherited two solutions, still in place, to solve our problems. Capitalism and government. If we solve our own problems, we reduce our dependency on these two solutions. This talk is about a movement to solve our own problems. Click here to view the talk.
The People need to take the power back in order to own their own solutions. Humanity needs to control its solutions without giving anything away. A system is required to determine the desires of humanity and then delivers those wants and needs. The transition away from capitalism to this new system requires systemic changes. These changes require creative tact to navigate the current system's structure, implement the changes from within, leading to disruptive and destructive innovation. Humanity will peacefully upend the power structures that once enslaved it. Hacking Capitalism is humanity's best weapon.

"ABD" stands for "All But Dissertation". All But Dissertation means, "dropout". I am a PhD dropout. This fact is more important to me than any degree because I learned a lesson. You don't need to finish. You never needed to start in the first place.
Survival
My path is my path. I took it for my own reasons. My vision is clear. The timing is right. The plan is precise. What do you want? What do you need?
Front to back, back to front. For the first time in our brief history, the tools are available that allow one person to develop the entire stack, in a scalable way.
It is often easier to find a cooperative resolution to a problem than to compete. Sometimes things are not what they seem to be. And sometimes they are.
I am the funniest person I have ever experienced. It's only funny because it's true. I will be responsible for more laughter in my lifetime than anyone else. It's only funny because it's !lol.
Are you sure you know what solutions are currently available in the market? Have you ever searched endlessly for something without knowing the proper terminology to search? You don’t know what you don’t know until you know.
The cloud has made Information Technology interesting again. Moving infrastructure from on premises can be a difficult decision as it feels as if power is lost. Leverage your existing resources by freeing them to focus on solving real business problems.
Function over form. User Experience (UX) has never been more important. This extends beyond the visible, and into the future of usability, voice and audio. Decoupling the aesthetic design from the functional allows the designer to remain independent of development.
Problems are usually caused by solutions to the same or a different problem. It is common for solutions to be inefficient or ineffective. Assuming the solution is the best possible solution is part of the problem. An outside perspective is sometimes all you need to see the obvious solution.
Designing scalable solutions has never been easier and for the first time it is possible for an individual or a small team to design, develop and deploy impressive backends. Design has never been as important as it is now. Knowing what is possible is half the battle.
Keeping with the Microsoft stack of development tools, Visual Studio and Blend make it possible to tailor scalable backend APIs using the Windows Azure cloud platform. Whether it’s Asp.Net for web apps, WCF for web services, or any of the Azure offerings, the backend has been contained.
Visual Studio 2015 and Blend are the preferred tools for C# and Xaml (WPF) development (Xamarin for cross-platform development). Utilizing industry patterns and practices such as Dependency Injection (IoC) and MVVM are critical to creating interfaces people love.
Do you know your process? Can you point to your process and say, “there it is”? Whether you know your process or not, you have one. Working the process of working a process is the secret to success. Be diligent about refining the process. As soon as you finish, start over, and make it better.
How do you differentiate yourself from the competition? How are you different? The answer must be substantial. In your mind, the difference between you and your competition needs to be night and day. Sometimes the difference has nothing to do with your product or service.
Games are fun. Gamification is the process of making things that are not fun, fun. There are only a handful of game types. The two most important questions to answer for the player when designing a game are: what do I have to gain, and what do I have to lose?
Hacking a system is the process of repurposing a system to a different end than what it was intended for. Closed systems must be opened to facilitate innovation. The question is never whether it is legal or not, but whether or not it is worth the consequence.
I am willing to put all my skills on the table, along with my time, in order to push the progress of humanity. The People need a hero, a myth. And I am willing to fabricate such a myth.
“I looked at your tweet stream, and there’s a lot of anger and disdain there. I don’t think that’s conducive to a productive conversation. I share many of your ideals and ideas, but worry that you lack respect for others who don’t think exactly like you do.”
